The Northside Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a hard 53-34 fall against Thomas County Central. Northside has not had much luck with Thomas County Central recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Travesha Giddens continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Thomas County Central, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 17 rebounds. Giddens hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirsten Guyton, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Northside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Thomas County Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6.
Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thomas County Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-24 win vs. Houston County on the 10th.
