If the Roger Bacon Spartans were feeling good off their 58-27 takedown of the Clermont Northeastern Rockets on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Roger Bacon's rough 57-32 defeat to Wyoming on Monday might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Roger Bacon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while Wyoming is ranked 138th).
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Rolfert, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Morgan Rohling was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Roger Bacon's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Wyoming, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Roger Bacon will head out on the road to face off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wyoming will be home for the holidays to greet Cincinnati Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
