The West Union Dragons had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 47-36 victory over Bethel-Tate on Monday. The victory was just what West Union needed coming off of a 58-30 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Ashlah Staten, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Madison Stout, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
West Union's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Bethel-Tate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
West Union will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Lynchburg-Clay will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Bethel-Tate, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
