McClain has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Zane Trace Pioneers at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. McClain will be strutting in after a victory while Zane Trace will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, McClain didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hillsboro, but they still walked away with a 44-38 win.
Meanwhile, Zane Trace's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 73-20 loss at the hands of Unioto. While losing is never fun, Zane Trace can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while Unioto is ranked 53rd).
McClain's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10. As for Zane Trace, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
Everything came up roses for McClain against Zane Trace in their previous matchup back in November of 2018 as the team secured a 77-17 victory. Does McClain have another victory up their sleeve, or will Zane Trace turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
