The Yuma Catholic Shamrocks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 24-10 victory over Northwest Christian. For Yuma Catholic, this counts as revenge for the 31-30 defeat Northwest Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
It was another big night for Tayt Ford, who rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Ford hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Sir Stokes also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Yuma Catholic's win was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.8 points per game. As for Northwest Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yuma Catholic will take on Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Javon Bell and Ford. As for Northwest Christian, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Walden Grove at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Gabriel Smith and Evan Tarasenko.
