Central of Clay County took down the Wildcats 37-18 on Saturday. Given Central of Clay County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Wildcats are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Central of Clay County was led to victory by India Glenn and Nariah Brock. Glenn scored eight points, while Brock scored ten points.
Central of Clay County's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Shelby County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Central of Clay County will head out on the road to take on the Aggies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sylacauga is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Shelby County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
