Maplesville put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed  a  59-55 victory over the Verbena Red Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Maplesville also won the last time the pair played  back in January.
 Maplesville can attribute much of their success to  Devon Nix, who  posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was  Chris Simon, who  put up ten  points.
 Verbena lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Caleb Short, who  had 12 points in addition to five  rebounds and three  steals. Short has been hot, having  posted two or more  steals the last five times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaxson Kelley, who  posted 13 points.
Maplesville's record now sits at 3-0. As for Verbena, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the  defeat, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Maplesville and Billingsley will face off  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Maplesville is facing Billingsley at the right time seeing as Billingsley is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. Verbena and Notasulga will compete for holiday cheer  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
