Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gentry). Everything went their way against the Lincoln Wolves on Friday as they made off with a 49-25 victory. With the Pioneers ahead 35-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Ethan Meyers was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 23 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 48 receiving yards and one score. An impressive showing, but he really ramped things up playing D: he picked up a sack and made 19 total tackles (5.0 for loss). Noah Palacio also helped out with an impressive 80 receiving yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Gentry proved: they limited Lincoln to a paltry 1.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Meyers for the heroic effort on defense: he. Gentry didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged six.

Gentry's defense didn't let Isaiah Whitlock, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Meyers, Atreyu Banks, and Jeremy Chotrow, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Lincoln's side was Aidan Eller, who made 11 total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Gentry's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
