After flying high against the Blacksher Bulldogs last Friday, the Chickasaw Chieftains came back down to earth. Chickasaw took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Luke's Episcopal on Tuesday. Chickasaw was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Luke's Episcopal apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Several Chieftains players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marvin Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Brooks hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was JaVon Mose, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Chickasaw's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Chickasaw will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Luke's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to take on Washington County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
