Central is 0-4 against Huntley since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Central Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huntley Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged Hampshire out 17-14.

Meanwhile, Huntley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-7 victory over Dundee-Crown at home. The result was nothing new for Huntley, who have now won three contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Braylon Bower, who rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 77 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Haiden Janke, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Central's win on Friday bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Huntley, their win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Central came up short against Huntley in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, falling 16-7. Can Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
