After soaring to 54 points the game before, Beggs were a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were outmatched by Kiefer on the road and fell 68-6. While losing is never fun, Beggs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Kiefer is ranked 25th).
Meanwhile, Morris had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Westville, posting a 50-22 victory at home. Morris' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.
It was another big night for Trey Daniels, who rushed for 338 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.9 yards per carry. Daniels' longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards. Cruze Lawson was another key contributor, rushing for 171 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.7 yards per carry.
Beggs has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Morris, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Beggs was able to grind out a solid win over Morris in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, winning 28-20. Does Beggs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Morris turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
