The St. Joseph Christian Lions and the Worth County Tigers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in St. Joseph Christian's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, St. Joseph Christian came up short against the Panthers and fell 53-40.
Meanwhile, Worth County's game on Tuesday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 54-39 bruising from Pattonsburg.
Despite their loss, Worth County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kristen Tracy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynah Steele, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
St. Joseph Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Worth County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.
St. Joseph Christian skirted past the Tigers 37-34 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Does St. Joseph Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
