The Miami Beach Hi-Tides had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over Jackson. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Miami Beach also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Jackson's loss came despite strong showings from Leonard Clark and Jaedan Branton. Clark scored 16 points along with two steals, while Branton scored 20 points. Branton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordany Fils-Aime, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
Miami Beach pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Miami Beach won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. One thing working in Homestead's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight games. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Mourning at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
