McQueen is 8-2 against Reed since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lancers will be playing at home against the Raiders at 3:45 p.m. McQueen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Monday, McQueen earned a 10-5 victory over Douglas. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Jaxon McAdara made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. McAdara was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of McQueen's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 3-1-1 (and 10-13 when he doesn't).
McAdara wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Owen McNamara, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Reed hadn't done well against Douglas recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Tigers.
Reed also got a great performance from Chase Spencer as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Spencer has posted since April 2nd.
At the plate, Michael Challacomb and Tai Chang did most of the damage at the plate: Challacomb went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Chang went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most runs Challacomb has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac Eaton, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Reed was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win got Reed back to even at 14-14. As for McQueen, their victory bumped their record up to 13-14-1.
McQueen came out on top in a nail-biter against Reed when the teams last played on April 12th, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
