Softball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sunnyslope last Monday, Perry came back down to earth. The Perry Pumas fell just short of the Bishop Amat Lancers by a score of 12-11 on Thursday. The Pumas' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Perry got a massive performance out of CC Hall, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Hall's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Leicht, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Perry lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Bishop Amat, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Perry has already played their next contest, a 12-7 win against Lakewood on the 7th. As for Bishop Amat, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-6 loss against Central Catholic on the 7th.
