Soledad moved up to 621 from 761 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mission Trail.
The Aztecs were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league.
Gonzales's Sergio Baez and Rhett Panziera have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baez has thrown for 427 yards this season, while Panziera, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has nine catches for 146 yards. Stephen Hotta from Stevenson leads the league in rushing with 167 yards.
A big matchup in Mission Trail this week will be when Soledad takes on the Pirates. The Aztecs are in fourth place, while Stevenson is in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Soledad takes on Bruce Dini's team. The Aztecs have allowed 33 points this season, while the Pirates have given up nine.
