Georgetown is 1-9 against the Wildcats since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Ty Stanley was a one-man wrecking crew for Georgetown as he scored 20 points. Stanley hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Jari Ford was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dillon entered their tilt with the Warriors with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dillon secured a 57-51 W over the Warriors on Monday. Given Dillon's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Warriors are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win got Georgetown back to even at 12-12. As for Dillon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Georgetown was taken down by the Wildcats 75-43 when the teams last played two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dillon's Ta'norre Monroe, who scored 18 points.
