The Capital Prep Trailblazers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Parish Hill Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Parish Hill took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Capital Prep, who comes in off a win.
After a 79-32 finish the last time they played, Capital Prep and Hartford Public decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Capital Prep was the clear victor by a 39-13 margin over Hartford Public. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Capital Prep has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Parish Hill came up short against CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering] on Monday and fell 43-32. Parish Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Julie Millerd, who scored four points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hannah Becker, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Capital Prep and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Parish Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Capital Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Parish Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. Does Capital Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parish Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
