Diamond Ranch Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,712 from 11,424. The improvement was the result of 56-0 victory over Monument Valley last week.
Monticello's Austin Maloy and Jake Duncan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A - South in both passing and receiving yards. Maloy has thrown for 329 yards this season, while Duncan, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has nine catches for 174 yards. Milford's Wade Netto leads the league in rushing yards with 423.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Buckaroos take on the Diamondbacks. Monticello has allowed 86 points this season, while Diamond Ranch Academy has given up 100. Lee Chadwick's team allowed 22 points last week as it lost to Altamont.
Robbie Dias's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Cougars.
