The Baptist Hill Bobcats's five-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They greeted the New Year with with a 75-59 victory over Palmetto Scholars Academy. Baptist Hill's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jaden Douglas was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rickey Middleton Jr, who scored seven points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Baptist Hill's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baptist Hill will face off against Charleston Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Charleston Math & Science is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. Palmetto Scholars Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Burke at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th.
