In other batting news, Braxton Couch and Asa Fenstermaker did most of the damage at the plate: Couch got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Fenstermaker went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Couch has become a key player for Genoa Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Kline, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Genoa Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Madison Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Shekinah Christian, falling 15-1. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Madison Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Lawrence, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Genoa Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Madison Christian, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
