Even though The Midview Middies scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs still came out on top. Olmsted Falls enjoyed a cozy 49-31 victory over Midview. Given Olmsted Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Midview is ranked 278th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Midview still got an impressive performance from Ethan Elbert, who rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Elbert was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 68 yards.
Olmsted Falls' win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Midview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Olmsted Falls will be playing at home against Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Midview, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
