Peninsula came out on top against Lincoln on Wednesday thanks in part to John Browand's efforts. Browand was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Browand and Peninsula will square off against Bellarmine Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bellarmine Prep will enter the matchup having just beaten Lakes, so Peninsula will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
