It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ava Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 45-10 victory over Mountain Grove. The win was just business as usual for Ava, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Ava to victory were Hunter Adams and Rylin Dickson. Adams rushed for 213 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, while Dickson gained 171 total yards and three touchdowns.
Ava's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Mountain Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Ava will face off against Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Mountain Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
