It was a good run, but the Daniel Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Seneca 60-55. The matchup was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but Daniel couldn't quite close it out.
When it comes to explaining why Daniel lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tristyn Carrington. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carrington has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Simms Disbrow, who scored 14 points.
Cam O'kelley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Seneca, scoring 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Miller, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Daniel's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Seneca, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Daniel will take on the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Pendleton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to face off against the Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walhalla will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Bobcats are ranked 70th).
