The Elkhart Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a tough 71-45 loss at the hands of Turpin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Elkhart of the 66-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Leading Turpin to victory were Bryson Parker and Jhett Huffman. Parker scored 20 points, while Huffman scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huffman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Peters, who scored eight points.
Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Turpin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.
Elkhart will be playing at home against Lakin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakin is coming into the match with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Elkhart will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Turpin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
