The Lincoln County Lynx and the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate will face off at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Lincoln County came up short against Mohave and fell 54-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Lincoln County came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 44th in Nevada, while Mohave is ranked 227th in Arizona).
Lincoln County's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kalen Bart, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Curtis Rippetoe was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lincoln County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Mohave Accelerated by a score of 50-41.
