Softball Recap: Benbrook Wins Going Away Against Western Hills

Benbrook won the last time they faced Western Hills and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Benbrook Bobcats' way against the Western Hills Cougars as the Benbrook Bobcats made off with a 15-2 win. Considering the Bobcats have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Maelee Lindley was a standout: she scored three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Boswell, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Benbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Hills only posted an OBP of .462.

Benbrook has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Benbrook has already played their next game, a 20-0 victory against Eastern Hills on the 11th. As for Western Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-10 win against Carter-Riverside on the 11th.
