Adding to the longest winning streak in WPIAL AA Midwestern this week, Aliquippa beat Quaker Valley 43-26. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Beaver moved up to 79 from 119 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bobcats climbed the ranks as a result of topping Mt. Pleasant 21-7.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Riverside's Jason Dambach and Marcel Cleckley have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-3 quarterback Dambach has thrown for 808 yards this season, while Cleckley has 33 catches for 394 yards. Jared Meyers from Lincoln leads the league in rushing with 1,289 yards.
A big matchup in WPIAL AA Midwestern this week will be when Beaver takes on Aliquippa. As it stands, Jeff Beltz's team is in third, while Michael Zmijanac's team is in first.
Beaver Falls took down Yough 43-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
