The Lincolnview Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Antwerp Archers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincolnview is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Even though Lincolnview has not done well against Spencerville recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lincolnview snuck past Spencerville with a 48-44 victory.
Lincolnview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kassidy Hammons, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hammons has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keira Breese, who scored eight points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Antwerp beat Edgerton 43-30 on Thursday. The win was just what Antwerp needed coming off of a 45-19 loss in their prior contest.
Lincolnview now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Antwerp, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Lincolnview didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Antwerp in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 62-58 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincolnview since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
