It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-15, which was the final score in Fairhaven's tilt against Carver on Thursday. Fairhaven has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carver found their leader in underclassman Josie Helms, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Helms has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddie Eaton, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Fairhaven now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Carver, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairhaven will take on Seekonk at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carver won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mashpee at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th.
