After flying high against Ozanam last Saturday, the Christ Prep Academy Patriots came back down to earth. Christ Prep Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 62-61 to Faith Christian Academy. Christ Prep Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Faith Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Faith Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Akins, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Schleeter, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Christ Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Faith Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Christ Prep Academy will be playing at home against Summit Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
