Baseball Recap: Adams County Christian Wins Going Away Against Porter's Chapel Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Silliman Institute, Adams County Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Porter's Chapel Academy Eagles as the Adams County Christian Rebels made off with a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Parker Roach was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Kerry Cothern, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Adams County Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Adams County Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Adams County Christian will host Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Porter's Chapel Academy, they will take on River Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Porter's Chapel Academy has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
