Basketball Recap: Jaylen Walker Key Part of a Team Effort in Raiders Win

There's no place like home for Raby, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Austin College and Career Academy Tigers by a score of 65-56 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raiders needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Raby's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylen Walker led the charge by putting up 25 points. Walker's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jalijah Sample was another key player, posting 21 points.

Raby moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Austin College and Career Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raby will host Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Austin College and Career Academy will take on Wells in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
