Softball Recap: Labrae Wins Going Away Against Crestview

LaBrae got themselves on the board against Crestview on Thursday, but Crestview never followed suit. They blew past the Rebels 10-0. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Riley Rowe's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Leah DeArmitt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Vada Allen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: LaBrae kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

LaBrae's record is now 18-4. As for Crestview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

LaBrae wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Champion on the 10th. As for Crestview, they will take on Smithville in a tournament on Wednesday.
