Alliance lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Espen Lanik, who scored 16 points along with five assists. Lanik has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristen Timbers, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Alliance has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Chadron, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will take on the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Scottsbluff has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 416 points over their last six matchups. Chadron is on the road again on Friday and plays the Comets at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
