Suffield Academy's Brice McAllister rumbled for the longest rushing play in Colonial this season in his game against Canterbury last week. McAllister ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 189 on the day as his team beat the Saints.
Endy Sanchez and CJ Moore provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Canterbury. The connection went for 60 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Ledell Robinson was a passing and rushing force as Williston Northampton bested Gunnery. He completed 8 passes for 206 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 50 yards. Robinson's favorite target this week was Sam Blake, who caught 5 passes for 130 yards.
Blake was the best receiver in the league this week as the Wildcats topped the Highlanders. Blake racked up 5 receptions for 130 yards. Michael Walters helped Williston Northampton's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 48 yards.
6-foot-4 quarterback Patrick Kehoe of Cheshire Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 543. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Blake. The Williston Northampton star has 11 catches for 222 yards.
Next week's game between the Cats and Williston Northampton will feature an aerial matchup as Kehoe tests his arm against Robinson's defensive ability.
A big matchup in Colonial this week will be when Cheshire Academy takes on Mark Conroy's team. The Cats are currently in third, while the Wildcats are in first.
Williston Northampton moved up to 14 from 122 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of topping Gunnery 49-22.
