Red Bud pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Marquette Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Marquette Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Red Bud has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. It's a different story for Marquette Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Red Bud's hitters?
Everything went Red Bud's way against Marquette Catholic in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Red Bud made off with a 16-0 win. Do the Musketeers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Explorers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
