EJ Ruffin Turns in Season-Best Effort

EJ Ruffin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Ayden - Grifton to the win on Friday. Ruffin rushed for 174 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending a pass.

Ayden - Grifton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Ruffin and Ayden - Grifton have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Davis Posts Huge Game in 45-18 Win

DJ Davis helped snap West Craven's four-game losing streak. Farmville Central had no answer to Davis on Friday as he rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Davis continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

This season, Davis has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 195.1 passing yards per game.

Keondrick Melton Turns in Another Game with at Least 104 Rushing Yards

Keondrick Melton continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game with at least 104 rushing yards. He rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

Washington's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4. Melton and Washington will challenge North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Elijah Able Delivers Electric Effort Vs West Craven

Farmville Central had to settle for second on Friday, but Elijah Able sure wasn't going down easily. Nobody could stop Able as he rushed for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Able might just drop another big game when he faces off against Greene Central on Friday. When Able last faced the Rams back in October of 2023, he rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Malik Brown Leads West Craven over Farmville Central

Malik Brown produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Craven to the win on Friday. Brown rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Brown might have his next game, a home matchup with Greene Central, circled on his calendar. Brown rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.
