Horizon Science Academy pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Northeast Ohio College Prep 63-58. Even though they lost, Horizon Science Academy's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
When it comes to explaining why Horizon Science Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braylon Myrick. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rodney Osorio, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Horizon Science Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Northeast Ohio College Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The will face off against the Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons are coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Northeast Ohio College Prep will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Lawrence Upper at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
