The Phillipsburg Panthers lost against the Hoisington Cardinals back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Phillipsburg took a hard 67-50 fall against Hoisington. Phillipsburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rhett Shelton and Caden Seems certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Shelton scored 14 points along with two steals, while Seems scored ten points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Babcock, who scored five points.
Phillipsburg's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Hoisington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Phillipsburg will head out on the road to challenge Smith Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hoisington, they will be playing at home against Hesston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
