Burbank moved up to 546 from 596 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Pacific. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of a 48-7 win over Hoover.
Burbank made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,228 from 8,012. The improvement came about via a 48-7 victory over the Tornadoes last week.
Teddy Arlington was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 164 yards on 10 carries as Hector Valencia's team beat Hoover. Teammate James Williams added to the ground attack by rushing for 142 yards.
Zachary Lee put up the best numbers through the air as Arcadia defeated Burroughs. He finished with five completions for 30 yards and 12 touchdowns. Lee's favorite target this week was Darius Elliot, who caught one pass for 12 yards.
Arlington was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs bested Andrew Policky's team. Arlington tallied two receptions for 36 yards. Williams helped Burbank's passing attack out by catching one ball for 21 yards.
The Apaches' Lee and Elliot have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Pacific in both passing and receiving yards. Lee has thrown for 500 yards this season, while Elliot, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has eight catches for 227 yards. William Wang from Crescenta Valley leads the league in rushing with 517 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Burbank takes on Arcadia. The Bulldogs' offense has scored 108 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Chris Long's team has allowed only 138 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Falcons take on Pasadena. At the moment, Crescenta Valley is in second, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.
