The Glynn Academy Terrors had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nease on Monday.
Glynn Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Janiyah Spaulding and Mar'kuecia Burton. Spaulding scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while Burton scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Nease's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was McKenna Owens, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Abilgail Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Glynn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Nease, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Glynn Academy will head out on the road to face off against Gainesville at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nease, they will face off against Valdosta at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Valdosta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Monday.
