Make it six blowout wins for the Spring Valley Vikings this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Nation Ford 77-43 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Spring Valley has posted since December 15, 2023.
It was another big night for Mariana Moody, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Kelsey Chisholm was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven assists and two steals.
Spring Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Nation Ford, they bumped their record down to 10-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Spring Valley will take on Blythewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Blythewood is ranked 40th, while Spring Valley is ranked 42nd). As for Nation Ford, they will head out on the road to take on Fort Mill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Mill is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
