It was a proper cat-fight when Edinburg duked it out withPflugerville Connally on Friday. The Edinburg Bobcats lost 60-39 to the Pflugerville Connally Cougars. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Edinburg still got an impressive performance from Axel Navarro, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Champion, who posted six points.

Pflugerville Connally was led to victory by Anthony Phagans and Joshua Doe. Phagans dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards, while Doe went 7 of 17 on his way to 16 points and six assists. Phagans is becoming a predictor of Pflugerville Connally's success: when he posts at least ten boards the team is 12-6 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Christian Sanders was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Edinburg's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Pflugerville Connally, their record is now 13-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Aransas Pass the next time they take the court. Pflugerville Connally will head out to face Aransas Pass at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, while Edinburg will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
