The Brushton-Moira Panthers lost against the Franklin Academy Huskies back in March of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Brushton-Moira was dealt a 64-27 defeat at the hands of Franklin Academy. Brushton-Moira has not had much luck with Franklin Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Franklin Academy to victory were Bradley Poupore and Ian Mulverhill. Poupore scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals, while Mulverhill scored 12 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Zendann Poirier was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Brushton-Moira's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Franklin Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Brushton-Moira will be playing at home against St. Lawrence Central at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully St. Lawrence Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Franklin Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Salmon River at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
