The Westminster Owls will head out on the road to face off against the Saint James Saints at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Westminster comes in on five and Saint James on four.
Westminster had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Francis Scott Key on Thursday. The Owls put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-8 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Owls have posted against the Eagles since April 10, 2019.

03/22/25 vs Dulaney | 2 |

The team relied heavily on Brianna Jeeter, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Mallory Johnson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Westminster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, while Saint James put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Fort Hill. The Saints blew past the Sentinels 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Saint James got a massive performance out of Everett Sechler ?26, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Tenley Mullendore ?27, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and three runs.
Saint James pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Westminster, their record now sits at 7-8.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Westminster has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Saint James struggles in that department as they've averaged .460. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
