Colchester had trouble last Friday, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. They will be playing at home against Rice Memorial at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Colchester will really need to gear up for this challenge, as Rice Memorial will be their toughest opponent yet.
If Colchester were riding high off their 28-7 takedown of Essex two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Colchester took a 13-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellows Free Academy.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their match two weeks ago against Rutland, Rice Memorial were happy to find some success last Friday. Rice Memorial captured a comfortable 38-22 victory over U-32.
Rice Memorial's win lifted them to 5-2 while Colchester's defeat dropped them down to 4-3. We'll see if Rice Memorial's success rolls on or if Colchester are able to steal their positive momentum.
