The Wells Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 38-17 walloping at the hands of Foreman. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Wells has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Wells saw an underclassman step up: Ayanna Allison scored three points along with 11 rebounds and four steals.
Wells' loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.1 points per game. As for Foreman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Wells will head out on the road to take on Kelvyn Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kelvyn Park's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Wells' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Foreman, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Intrinsic: 28.5, Foreman: 26.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
