Merrill have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Antigo at 7:00 PM. Merrill are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
After having lost a blowout in their match three weeks ago against Lakeland, Merrill were happy to find some success two weeks ago. Merrill walked away with a 21-7 win over Rhinelander.
Meanwhile, the last time they encountered one another, Mosinee outplayed Antigo 7-28. This time around? Get ready for this: Antigo suffered a grim 7-28 defeat to Mosinee last Saturday. If you felt some intense deja vu just there, it's no doubt because Antigo and Mosinee finished with that exact same score the last time they met.
Merrill's victory lifted them to 2-7 while Antigo's loss dropped them down to 3-6. We'll see if Merrill's success rolls on or if Antigo are able to steal their positive momentum.
